Have you ever had a passion so strong,  it is all you think about??

I see art everywhere,  the gardening, cooking , shop displays, buildings.

This year

I have decided to give into my dreams, and follow them

As long as i can do what i enjoy , and what i do

 brings others joy..its a dream come true

I started painting 6 years ago after the birth of my first son. I had some time and

thought i would pick up some paint brushes and give it ago.

Prior to that i had ony  dabbled in your

basic art classes in highschool and doodled on every surface , envelope , folder and

note book out of boredom.

 Never thought much of it, some drawings were good , some were just scribbles.

Nearly 10 years on, with no training in painting, i started and have not been able to put down the brushes. 

My lack of training is what keeps my art truley original.

As an artist, the challenge is always with yourself.

To transfer the ideas from your mind on to that blank surface.

 After washing off and repainting over dozens of canvas over the last few years

I know have had the courage a to sell my paintings at the local markets.

The response has been fantastic as a whole.

To hear and see people appreciate your work is priceless and so rewarding.

I feel my drive to improve and make each painting better than the last

has really paid off!

There will always be negative comments and remarks.

I have had people laugh at me, and be the butt of the jokes, and say i wont sell a

painting, i should give up, i am dreaming if i think people will pay money for my art

AND you know what i keep saying ??

"One day i am going to be a successful artist, just you wait and see !"

And you know what.... I am not going to stop trying until i do..

Dont give up, take each dissapointment and negative situation and turn it into a tool

for your art and your dreams! 

 EXPERIMENT

 The skills and techniques i apply in my paintings have

been developed by experimentation and practice.

I always try to create that wow factor, something that is

different and unique

Being an artist is not something you learn in a book or a

classroom.

The ability to be a true artist is what comes from within, 

your feelings, thoughts and emotions. 

 Dont be afraid

Dont worry about whats traditonally right or wrong

I have used stencils, acrylic and metallic paint and fabric with materials, lace and table cloths
